See slip-on flanges and weld neck flanges for the forged options.
Plate flanges made to your drawing
Many fabrication jobs need flanges that are not in any table: blower and fan outlets, ducting, chimney sections, tank manholes, machine mounting rings. Send a drawing or sketch with outside diameter, inside diameter, PCD, number and size of holes, thickness and material. We will confirm the price and lead time. For repeat jobs, keep the drawing number on the order so every batch matches.
Do not thin the flange
A plate flange that is thinner than its table calls for will bend when bolted, and the gasket will leak. If you are replacing an old flange, measure its thickness as well as its OD and PCD. For pressure lines, use the thickness given by the drilling table or PN rating.
Where plate flanges are used
- Water supply, pumping and irrigation lines
- Fire hydrant and sprinkler mains
- Compressed air and vacuum lines
- Ventilation, ducting, blower and exhaust connections
- Tank nozzles and general fabrication
Pipes and fittings to go with plate flanges
| Pipe or fitting | Use it with these flanges when… |
|---|---|
| MS round pipes | you are fabricating with black MS pipe |
| ERW pipes (IS 1239 / IS 3589) | the line uses light, medium or heavy class pipe |
| GI pipes | you need galvanized pipe with galvanized flanges |
| MS flanges (all types) | you also need blind or slip-on MS flanges |
